Egyptian model arrested for ‘indecent’ photoshoot in front of pyramid

A photographer and his muse were arrested by Egyptian police after an indecent photoshoot at Saqqara necropolis.

Photographer Houssam Mohammad and dancer and model Salma al-Shimi is reportedly arrested following outlets provocative and offensive shoot. Shimi was posing in front of the pyramid of Djoser wearing an Egyptian-inspired, though not an authentic, outfit.

However, Shimi told to media that she is unaware that her actions violate any regulations and argue that she is planning to improve tourism in Egypt through her photographs.
